For my first post I have to pose the question: What is Dubstep?
Over the past few years we've seen this new genre gain worldwide recognition and evolve at a pace previously unheard of in the music industry. The definition of "true Dubstep" is a common argument among fans. Some say it's melodic music with a deep wobble bass while others only consider bangers with massive drops to be real Dubstep. My experiences have shown me that Dubstep has broken the beyond the confines of a genre and is now a culture of fans devoted to electronic bass music.
My goal as the SLO BASS Writer is to keep the bass fiends of the central coast fed with free downloads and new music of the dubstep variety while promoting the growing number of electronic concerts making their way to the area. This is gonna be one epic fall for the central coast so I hope you're ready to get nasty!!
