Event Recap - 12th Planet & Felix Cartal @ The Graduate 1/28

EDM concerts on the central coast keep getting filthier and the 12th Planet & Felix Cartal show on Saturday was no exception. Ravers and Bass-heads of all sorts made their way out to The Graduate on Saturday to get their eardrums pummelled in this intense double-headliner event.

The opening set was handled by Audiobit, a local DJ/Producer that has gained a strong following on the central coast. Usually an opening set is a great opportunity to get the crowd warmed up, maybe even bring them to a simmer. This wasn't the case on Saturday. Audiobit brought out the big guns and the end result was a frenzy on the dance floor.

Next up, Felix Cartal brought on a heart thumping, bass pumping, cardiovascular workout inducing onslaught of progressive house music. Few times have I seen The Grad get that nutty for that long. Seriously. I consider myself an athletic individual but even I had to stop jumping around at one point. Long story short, SLO knows how to party.

..And what's better to wrap up an already crazy party than the one and only 12th Planet. This guy stepped things up a notch and at that's saying a lot when the volume was already at 11 (Get it? He turned things up to 12! HA!... no? Not even a chuckle? Whatever, I'm leaving it in). 12th Planet's dubstep/hard style/crowd surfing performance left none to question why he is a major player in the Dubstep scene.

I could go on but instead I'll let you see for yourself. If you want to see all of the videos from Saturday night head on over to the SLO BASS YouTube. Don't forget to "Like" SLO BASS on Facebook to show your support!
