Event Recap - BASSEX @ Cielo Cantina 1/15

If you've ever wondered what it takes to make people go crazy on a Sunday night, wonder no more! All you need is some hard hitting music, LED lights and a Monday holiday! Last night all three of these ingredients (along with a full bar) were in store for those who made their way out to Cielo Cantina to see Bassex's first show on the central coast. I'm not hyping it up either. From the moment the doors opened heavy basslines and dirty drops could be heard echoing throughout the otherwise quiet streets of downtown SLO. Basraok and Philthy Rich dropped massive opening sets and got things moving only to have Bassex shatter the dance floor and melt faces with over an hour of dubstep/drumstep filled maddness. Friday, January 13th - "RE-LOCATE" @ Sea Pines Resort

All of your favorite local DJs have been gathered under one roof to shake and rattle the Sea Pines Resort long into the night. There's going to be 12...that's right, 12 DJs and 2 bars and all it takes to get in is $10 (before 10pm, $15 after). So get some friends together and take a road trip out to Osos. This is going to be one party you wont want to miss!

Collective Efforts is ringing in the new year with one of the hottest up and coming dubstep DJ/producers in Cali. Straight from San Francisco, Bassex is known for his hard hitting basslines and killer remixes. I've included a few below just so the shock on Sunday night doesn't kill you!

Free Music Monday #2!!!

That's right! It's time for another Free Music Monday, and this time I'm getting right to the good stuff. Turn up your speakers, open your windows, and start annoying your neighbors!

Right off the bat I want to hit you with something hard, and Tremourz has made a name for himself doing just that. J. Rabbit became a household name in the dubstep scene with the release of Sexy Party, but Tremourz remains the unsung hero in that collaboration. Here's his remix of Bassex's 'Sex Drive'. If you aren't a fan of getting filthy, then you might want to listen to this one in the shower.

Coming at you from the UK, Far Too Loud brings you fast-paced, hard hitting electro. He has a big following in the UK so it could only be a matter of time before he starts melting faces in the US.

Finally, here's a track I'd love to hear get some play time in the local clubs. The S is an Italian electro duo hellbent on dropping hard tracks. Their new EP 'Death and Rainbows' came out in July and climbed to #3 on the Electro House Beatport charts. It's definitely worth checking out.
